My little man is nine months old today. NINE! He just started crawling forward on Tuesday. He would crawl sideways and would roll over and sit on his bottom and roll over and sit on his bottom until he got where he wanted to go. He is standing up everywhere. His little legs are wobbly but he is getting the hang of balancing his weight on his HUGE feet.
He waves bye bye, gives me wet, slobbery WONDERFUL kisses, says Mumma, Da-da, Nana, Nonnie, Ya Ya, Ga Ga and now he has decided he knows how to blow spit (or food) out of his mouth (and laugh). He smiles ALL the time and "argues" with you. He will say Da Da Da and I will say Ma Ma Ma and he will get louder and say DA DA DA DA! We can go on for hours. :-) He also knows how to roll a ball back and forth to daddy and shake his head "no"...that in itself is hilarious...he will shake his head so hard he will get off balance. HA!
He is slowly weaning off his pacy (by himself). He likes it when he goes to bed but is pretty satisfied during the day without it. He is just now getting used to a sippy cup...he doesn't like any type juice except ORANGE juice...go figure. He only gets that once a week or so.
D is in 18-24 month clothes and we have to get 4-5 W in shoes. He is also over 21 lbs.
He loves to be the center of attention. He laughs and grunts and growls to get people's attention in waiting rooms or in restaurants...he is SO funny.
He is also really sweet hearted. My favorite is when he grabs my face (both hands on my cheeks) and kisses me. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!
He loves ceiling fan chains. He has been grabbing them since he was six months (when we hold him up) and he will turn the light on and off and off and on! D loves anything electronic...iPhone, remote control, etc.
His favorite TV shows are Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Agent Oso and Jake and the Neverland Pirates. Those three get his attention.
He loves the outdoors and is amazed at the sky and trees. He just looks around and takes it all in. His brothers are GREAT protectors and D LOVES them. Their barking. licking and "bothering" doesn't bother him a bit. He just smiles at them and pets them. We are teaching him to be "easy" with them. Tobey is the only one that will sit there and take it. Last night D leaned over and kissed Tobey's back (before I could tell him no)...gross. He loves Tobey.
Usually, D goes to be around 8:30 and wakes up at 7 am. He LOVES his Nonnie (Johnette) and all the kiddos she keeps. He adores kids and wants to be down right in the middle of them.
He is just a wonderful little person...sweet and adorable...and dimpled...and loving...and so not fussy...always good natured and laughing and smiling.
I love that kid so much. He means more to me than I can even begin to describe. I am so blessed to have this little creature in my life and be there to watch him grow and learn and love. Thank you, D. I love you!
