My first Mother's Day, D-man let me sleep until 8. :-) I woke up and I could see him looking at me between the bars just watching me. What a wonderful sight to wake up to! Man, I love this kid.
We went to church and the first time I got to stand to be recognized as a mommy. I have always resented Mother's Day (unfortunately) because it felt so shameful and sad for me to have to keep my seat when hearing, "All moms stand and be recognized". I felt sad and dejected, but today, by God's grace, I was able to stand and be called a mom.
I will post pictures later. I got a beautiful necklace and earrings with D's birthstone and a cute book mark from D :-).
Happy Mother's Day to all my friends. I am also praying for all who desire to be a mom. I understand the difficulty and the sadness this days brings for so many. I pray that God would give you the desires of your heart.
