Today I am 29 weeks and 1 day. I have 76 days left.
My friend, Christa, had her baby yesterday. Gage Wiley entered the world at 8 lbs and 4 oz and he is a cutie. I held him just an hour or so after he was born and I kept thinking THIS WILL BE DAWSON SOON! And, then my mind switched to...oh my gosh, Dawson will probably be 8 lbs and 4 oz and he will be THIS big and my stomach will be THIS big...yikes.
I was very uncomfortable yesterday. My sides hurt, my back hurt and I felt like Dawson was trying to rip me in two. I got some relief when I laid on my side and I slept pretty good. I am not as bad today but I know the uncomfortableness is just beginning.
So, I pitched a fit this morning and did some yelling and woke poor Dawson up. He isn't usually active in the morning and after my fit...well, he started moving a lot. He was trying to remind me that I was being too loud and it disrupted his sleep and I probably freaked him out a little. I feel like a horrible mom. Reminds me that even in the womb he hears everything I say. Ugh. Sorry, Dawson.
Here is what babycenter.com says about Dawson this week:
How your baby's growing:Your baby now weighs about 2 1/2 pounds (like a butternut squash) and is a tad over 15 inches long from head to heel. His muscles and lungs are continuing to mature, and his head is growing bigger to make room for his developing brain. To meet his increasing nutritional demands, you'll need plenty of protein, vitamins C, folic acid, and iron. And because his bones are soaking up lots of calcium, be sure to drink your milk (or find another good source of calcium, such as cheese, yogurt, or enriched orange juice). This trimester, about 250 milligrams of calcium are deposited in your baby's hardening skeleton each day.
My little ticker on the side says he is around 3 lbs and is about 16 inches long. CRAZY.
