How your baby's growing:At 11 inches (the length of a spaghetti squash) and almost 1 pound, your baby is starting to look like a miniature newborn. His lips, eyelids, and eyebrows are becoming more distinct, and he's even developing tiny tooth buds beneath his gums. His eyes have formed, but his irises (the colored part of the eye) still lack pigment. If you could see inside your womb, you'd be able to spot the fine hair (lanugo) that covers his body and the deep wrinkles on his skin, which he'll sport until he adds a padding of fat to fill them in. Inside his belly, his pancreas — essential for the production of some important hormones — is developing steadily.
Yay, for Baby D! He was moving so much last night and Matt got to feel him kick once. It is so awesome...I just sit in awe and wait for him to keep moving. Someone told me that I will miss him moving once he is out...and I ALREADY do...I try to not think ahead and just try to enjoy today!!!
I go in for my monthly appointment tomorrow. I am anxious to hear what Dr. S. says. I think my appetite is coming back and I may have gained a couple of pounds :-(. Oh well we shall see.
The only compliant I have is groin muscle pain. If I try to stand, walk, move, turn over, ANYTHING, it feels like I have done a five hour workout on my groin muscles. All I can say is OUCH. I have had constant groin pain for over five weeks...so we will see what he says...who knows?
I am also taking a cake to the fertility clinic tomorrow just to say thank you. I look forward to seeing everyone. I will take pictures of the cake and stuff.
