21 weeks...

I am 21 weeks today.  Seems utterly impossible.  I am feeling the little guy kick more and more.  I catch myself sitting real still and holding my breath to see if I can feel him move.  For me, it is the most exciting and amazing feeling in the world.  He is moving more and more now and more often throughout the day. Dawson is actually moving right now ~probably because I am eating and giving him energy~ :-)

Believe it or not, still no weight gain.  I am sure it will pick up but at this point no weight gain.  I can tell my shirts fit better (lol) except in the stomach area.  :-)  My extra weight is just re-distributing itself.  And, unfortunately, I crave nothing and want nothing, I guess it is a good thing that I haven't gained a ton of weight because I seriously do not need to gain much.

I had a very rough weekend.  It was the first time I did not make it to the bathroom while throwing up.  I had been gone on a business trip that week and then I was told to rest so I had some dishes in the sink left over for almost a week.  I know, I know, don't judge, I am not the greatest housekeeper, I never claimed to be and I accepted long ago that I would not strive to be.  :-)  Anyway, one of the pots that I had in the sink had filled up with water while I was gone (Matt must have run the water and it just kept filling up)...so I got back from Wal-mart and was trying to clean up the kitchen.  The gag reflex had kicked in HIGH gear.  It was bad.  I tried to load the dishwasher and my tummy was NOT having it.  I barfed in the kitchen.  I grabbed a towel and was running to the bathroom throwing up into the towel...and then I proceeded to throw up and throw up and throw up...well, you get the picture.  That was probably the sickest I've been.

Matt was working and I called mom to get some sympathy.  She had company and couldn't really talk but I pitifully asked her if she would come up and clean my kitchen.  She told me to go lay down and she would call me when her company left.  I went and laid down and before I knew it I was asleep.

I have no idea how long I slept but the sound of someone banging on my window scared the poop out of me!  I was so disoriented...and I grabbed my phone and looked and mom had tried to call...well, lo and behold, she was at my door :-)  "Here she comes to save the day!!!!"  I opened my garage door and it was my angel momma!!!  She was worried sick cause I didn't answer. I was completely asleep and had no idea the world was still turning!

What is so awesome about mom coming up is that it is almost an hours drive!!!  She immediately cleaned my kitchen and went and got me something to eat.  She didn't stay long but I was SOOOO grateful that she came up!!  Thank you, mom!!!

So, we are at 21 weeks.  Here is what is going on with the little man...this is from the babycenter.com - they alternate boy/girl descriptions each week.  Let's hope that Dawson doesn't have a vagina.

How your baby's growing:

Your baby now weighs about three-quarters of a pound and is approximately 10 1/2 inches long — the length of a carrot. You may soon feel like she's practicing martial arts as her initial fluttering movements turn into full-fledged kicks and nudges. You may also discover a pattern to her activity as you get to know her better. In other developments, your baby's eyebrows and lids are present now, and if you're having a girl, her vagina has begun to form as well.

See what your baby looks like this week.

So, that is where we are at.  Thank goodness I have not had any more spotting.  I have a regular doctor's appointment next week.
