Seven weeks today!

Baby Brown is the size of a blueberry!  YAY!  It is a half inch long.  They grow up soooo fast!  He/She actually doubled in size from last week!

Hands and feet are already beginning to grow off of the little buds of the arms and legs!  Here is an excerpt from BabyCenter.com:

"If you could see inside your womb, you'd spot eyelid folds partially covering her peepers, which already have some color, as well as the tip of her nose and tiny veins beneath parchment-thin skin. Both hemispheres of your baby's brain are growing, and her liver is churning out red blood cells until her bone marrow forms and takes over this role. She also has an appendix and a pancreas, which will eventually produce the hormone insulin to aid in digestion. A loop in your baby's growing intestines is bulging into her umbilical cord, which now has distinct blood vessels to carry oxygen and nutrients to and from her tiny body."

Wow...it is amazing that all of that is happening inside me!  Guess that is why I am tired and hungry!  :-)

A week from tomorrow we will have our second ultrasound.  I can't wait to get past that ultrasound.  I will feel so much better!!!

God is just so good and I am still humbled and in awe of this miracle that is inside of me.  I think it is a girl, but I have been calling it a "he" for Matt's sake...because dad's want a son, right?  Well, Matt looked at me and said, "What if it is a girl?"  He didn't seem repulsed.  If you know Matt he LOVES children.  Kids are just drawn to him.  I think we are going to constantly fight to see who holds him or her.  Ha!

Before I ever got pregnant with Jillian, I just knew we would have a girl. But once I got pregnant I all of a sudden started referring to the baby as "he". Then she was born and was obviously a girl. And Nathan loves, loves, loves our little girl. To the point that he says he isn't sure having a boy could be any better.
