Yard Sale

I really despise yard sales. I don't know why. It is a great way to clear out your house and make a little money. My biggest problem is I think my crap is worth more than what people are willing to pay. HA! Matt LOVES yard sales (thank GOD, because I am in here blogging and he is outside working). He can talk to anyone at anytime and find something to talk about. It amazes me.

I got in bed at one and Matt woke me up at 5:30...I am tired and cranky. I volunteered to go to McDonalds so I didn't have deal with the yard sale and when I got back Matt had befriended a dude and they were talking about OUR INFERTILITY woes!! How they got on THAT topic I have no idea.

As I said, I am cranky. The guy (he was very nice, BTW) said he and his wife had trouble getting pregnant and the best thing they did was RELAX. AGAIN, CRANKY...I said, "That is the absolute worst thing you can say to a woman going through this." LOL! OH WELL! I smiled at the end of it so maybe he wasn't too offended. I am tired and need sleep. I just got my diet coke and it hasn't seeped in my veins yet.

Anyway, here's to making some money today. LET'S HOPE!

ha, I hate yard sales too. I don't do them. I really think you 'make' more money by donating the stuff to the salvation army or whomever and taking the deduction on your taxes. You deduct the actual worth, not what you'd get for it in a yard sale... and you're right, it usually *is* worth 3-4 times what you'd get for it at a yard sale, so if you pay 25-30% in taxes or so, then it's a wash. But NO WORK. Other than bagging the stuff up and picking up the phone.
