Week 8...

I cannot believe that I am already at week 8. I am still taking one day at a time and doing my best not to worry about what is going on down there. I have drunk more water in the last week than I have my whole life. It has been weird because I have been so thirsty that I could gulp down a huge glass of water and I feel like I haven't drunk a thing!

I was making the bed last night and started gagging. LOL, I was like, what? This morning I woke up with that same sicky feeling and thought it was going to be a long day. I am still queasy! I honestly don't mind though. It reminds me that I am still pregnant and my hormones are still rising!

I have subscribed to the pregnancy newsletter at WebMD. They send me weekly updates of what is going on with Baby Brown...

  • Congratulations, Lisa! You're Eight Weeks Pregnant. Your embryo is about the size of a grape -- 0.56 to 0.8 inches from crown to rump. Eyelid folds and ears are forming and even the tip of the nose is visible. The arms have grown longer and bend at the elbows. Places where fingers and toes eventually will grow are becoming notched. Your uterus, once the size of your fist, is now about the size of a grapefruit. You may feel some cramping or pain in your lower abdomen or sides as your uterus tightens or contracts throughout pregnancy. These are normal but consult your doctor if cramps are accompanied by vaginal bleeding.
This is a 3D ultrasound picture of what a baby at 8 weeks looks like! AMAZING!

I drove my Bike MS route today (150 miles)...I drove...my amazing cyclists do it on a BICYCLE! As soon as I got in the car today I thought...I should have grabbed a trash can. I never threw up but if I gagged once...it would have been over with. Check out my Bike MS personal page

I am following your site from a friend that sent me the link. Wanted to share what I have found concerning getting sick away from home. Take a look. I carry one in my back pocket whenever I leave the house. I have been sick 24.7 and I am 12 weeks along. Prayer for you. http://survivingendometriosis.blogspot.com/

During my pregnancy, smells got to me. I would walk through Target and gag when I went past the candles and laundry detergent. :)
