Day Eighteen

Today is Day Eighteen. I have been on this IVF cycle for Eighteen Days...however, if I were a "normal" fertile person...this would actually be Day 22 of my menstrual cycle.

FYI: On a normal menstrual schedule...

Day one begins on the first day of your period
Day 14 (give or take a few days) is the day you ovulate
Day 18 (give or take a few days) is implantation of the embryo
Day 28 should be the last day of your cycle and then the next day you start

I am on Day 22 of THAT cycle. I remember when I first realized that something MIGHT be wrong and I decided to track my menstrual cycles. If I walked down the street and someone asked me what day it was....well, instead of saying - Monday or June 12th or something like that...I would say Day 22. THAT WAS SO IN MY HEAD! lol

I haven't felt great today. I am running out of spots on my butt to give the shots. Today's shot was brutal! I kept a cold compress between my belt and my skin for most of the day. It is VERY tender still.

Anyway, not much else is going on...the wait feels very "heavy" on me.
